Blue Hens Open Spring Slate With 7-0 Loss at Penn

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Delaware women's tennis team kicked off its spring season Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 loss to Penn at the Hecht Tennis Center.
The Blue Hens, who were crippled by injuries to three of its eight players, fell behind early with forfeits in No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
Despite the proximity of the two schools, Delaware and Penn had not faced off in dual match action since October 1981. The Quakers lead the all-time series, 7-1.
