No. 11 Blue Hens Defeat Towson, 2-1

NEWARK, Del. – It wasn't pretty, but in the end No. 11 Delaware collected the win by topping Towson, 2-1, Friday evening at Fred P. Rullo Stadium.
Deadlocked at 0-0 to start the second half, junior Femke Strien scored her career-best 10th goal of the season to give the Hens the 1-0 advantage in the 32nd minute. Classmate Sophie Giezeman recorded her team-leading third assist on the play.
Just seven minutes later, freshman Ashlyn Carr put Delaware ahead, 2-0, with an assist coming from sophomore Grace Hoepfner.
Redshirt senior Sydney Rhodes made two huge saves for the Hens in her 12th start of the season.

· Delaware has won a program-record 20 straight CAA regular season games.
