Jones Joins Blue Hens as Senior Associate AD for External Relations and Brand Management

NEWARK, Del. – A highly-successful and respected professional will be joining the Blue Hens leadership team with the hiring of Nicole Jones as the new Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations and Brand Management.
Jones, who will lead brand management, engagement, marketing, spirit, video and multimedia, communications, graphic design and social media areas, comes to Newark after spending the past seven years at Duke University as the Director of Sports Marketing and Promotions.
"We are thrilled to have Nicole and her family become Blue Hens! Nicole has a proven track record of success and she will make an immediate impact on how we engage and communicate with all the members of our university, community and Blue Hens family. She is a great addition to team and is a terrific fit for the high performing culture we are building here in Newark," Deputy AD for Revenue Generation Jordan Skolnick said.
During her time at Duke, Jones worked with the Duke men's basketball program and had direct oversight of all Blue Devil varsity programs, as well as the day-to-day operations of the entire Sports Marketing and Promotions department.

Prior to Duke, Jones spent two years as the Director of Marketing and Promotions at Wake Forest University. During her time there, Jones oversaw the marketing efforts for Demon Deacon football and men's basketball.
In addition to her time at Wake Forest and Duke, Jones served seven seasons in the Marketing and Promotions Department at the University of Notre Dame. At Notre Dame, she was in charge of the marketing efforts for football, men's and women's soccer, men's basketball, baseball and softball.
Before her arrival at Notre Dame, the Seal Beach, Calif., native worked at Utah State University as Sports Marketing and Promotions Intern from August 1999 to May 2003. Since 1997, she has also served as Float Coordinator for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.
Jones graduated from Utah State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree before earning a Master of Science degree from Indiana University in 2009. She is also a 2007 graduate of the Sports Management Institute Program.
