NEWARK, Del. – Playing at home for just the second time in six weeks, the University of Delaware women's basketball team gave their fans something to cheer about in the non-conference finale.
A strong defensive effort and three players in double figures led the Blue Hens to a dominant 63-44 victory over former CAA foe George Mason on Sunday afternoon at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The 44 points is the fewest scored by a Delaware opponent since Saint Joseph's (48-39 win) last year, a span of 29 games. The 24.5-percent from the field is the lowest field-goal percentage for a Blue Hen opponent since Lafayette shot 19-percent.
Redshirt senior Nicole Enabosi poured in her second 20-plus point performance of the year, leading all scorers with 20 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and picking up three steals and two blocks.
Junior Tee Johnson was outstanding off the bench with 11 points, two rebounds and two steals, while playing great defensively. She led all players with a +24 in the +/- column. Sophomore Jasmine Dickey had her fifth double-double of the year with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while also grabbing four steals and three blocks.

What They Said
- "Even more then the win, it was how we did it. This is a group that's steadily growing, and we're trending upward. There have been so many lineups and pieces and people coming back and we're having to adjust on the fly, which is basketball. But it's chemistry. This is a group, you can tell it's the same starting lineup now for a couple of games and it's making sense. It just seems like our last game which was at Charlotte on the 17th, you saw a lot of this, but over the last couple of days since they've been back from break, you see the finish. This is a group that's hungry. They're steadily learning, they want to be better." – Head Coach Natasha Adair
- "We talked a lot more about poise on offense. If you have numbers, great, if not bring it out, run offense. I think we really took the great shot versus a good shot. We've really broke that down over break. What is a good shot, what is a great shot. Time and score, possessions, giving different end-of-game scenarios. Really nestling into the plan, but also the adjustments within the plan." – Head Coach Natasha Adair
- "Big contributors today, aside from Nicole. You saw Tee step up, you saw Lizzie make really good defensive plays, Samone. We did it by committee. Everyone was ready, everyone shared the ball. This is how Delaware women's basketball plays, this is how it should look. It makes everybody feel better of course with the win. For us, we know strategically, and with hard work, how we won today." – Head Coach Natasha Adair
- The Blue Hens open up CAA play with back-to-back road tests at UNCW (Jan. 3) and at Charleston (Jan. 5)
