BLACKSBURG, Va. – Delaware competed in its lone match of the weekend Sunday morning and came out with the 7-0 loss at Virginia Tech.

The Hokies (2-4) captured the team doubles point despite a close match from freshman Tayo Adetunji and senior Annie Jaskulski in the third slot while freshman Caragh Courtney and senior Sarah Hall led, 5-4, in No. 2 doubles and were unable to finish their match.

In singles play, the Blue Hens (2-5) forced two three-set matches. Freshman Viva Laas won her first set, but fell in a heartbreaker to Nika Kozar, 2-6, 6-4, 10-8, in the second flight. In No. 4 singles, freshman Emily Gotkiewicz also suffered heartbreak with a 6-7 (5), 6-1, 10-2 decision to Samantha Gillas.
