Blue Hens Wrap Up Regular Season At Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The University of Delaware swimming & diving program dialed it in for one final tune up leading up to the CAA Championships, hitting the pool at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Allison Gozdan had a strong showing for the Blue Hens, posting five top-10 finishes to highlight the weekend, while Delaware finished with 12 top-10 showings as a program at the meet.
Gozdan starred amongst the small group of Blue Hens at the meet, finishing second in the 100 yard back (59.97) and 100 yard free (53.70), sixth in the 200 yard back (2:13.79), ninth in the 200 yard back (2:08.50) and was a part of the 200 yard free relay, which finished fourth in the event.
Joining Gozdan on the relay were Samantha Kauffman, Caitlin Connorand Ellie Keck.
Kauffman also had a strong weekend, adding three individual finishes in the top-eight with a second-place showing in the 200 yard back (2:08.50), third in the 100 yard back (1:00.42) and eighth in the 50 yard free (25.72).
Keck added two top-10 finishes in the 100 yard fly and 100 yd free, while Connor grabbed a top-10 finish in the 200-yard back.
On the men's side, Peter Diaz was the only Blue Hen who competed in the meet, grabbing a third-place finish in the 200 yd fly (1:57.21).
Delaware will gear up for the CAA Championships, which take place in Richmond, Va. in three weeks.
