Delaware Uses Second Half to Push Past Elon, 74-63

ELON, N.C. – The Blue Hens erased a tough first half and capitalized on a strong second half Sunday afternoon with their 74-63 over two-time defending CAA Champion Elon at the Schar Center.
The win was a season-best fourth straight for Delaware, which improves to 10-11 overall and 5-4 in league play.
The Hens saw four players score in double figures while junior Samone DeFreese led the way with her second double double of the season. DeFreese finished the day with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
Classmate Abby Gonzales added 15 points, including four 3-pointers, while senior Alison Lewis collected 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals and junior Rebecca Lawrence tallied 10 points, four blocked shots and three rebounds.
