Ithiel Horton Named to CAA All-Tournament Team

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Blue Hen freshman guard Ithiel Horton was named to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Tournament Team following his two impressive performances at the championship.
Horton averaged 23.5 points and 3.5 rebounds during Delaware's two games at the tournament, going 17 of 28 (60.7%) from the field including 11 of 18 (61.1%) from the three-point line.
Horton scored a game-high 26 points in Sunday's 85-79 comeback win over William & Mary in the quarterfinals, finishing 9 of 15 from the floor including 6 of 9 from behind the arc. He also added two rebounds, two steals and an assist vs. the Tribe.
Horton then added 21 points, all but two coming after halftime, in the 78-74 overtime loss to Hofstra on Monday in the semifinals. He went 8 of 13 from the field, hitting 5 of 9 three-point attempts, to go with five rebounds and four assists.
A CAA All-Rookie Team selection, Horton appeared in all 33 games for the Blue Hens while making 23 starts this year. He ranked third on the team by scoring 13.2 points per game, while his 79 three-pointers made are sixth most in a UD single season.
