Hens Collect 5-2 Win at Saint Joseph’s

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Blue Hens registered their second straight victory Wednesday afternoon by topping Saint Joseph's, 5-2, at the SJU Tennis Complex.
Delaware (5-9) led off the afternoon by claiming the team doubles point in the second and third flights.
Freshmen Caragh Courtney and Emily Gotkiewicz cruised to the 6-0 win in No. 2 doubles while senior Sarah Hall and sophomore Sarah Whited posted the 6-3 victory in the third spot.
Freshman Tayo Adetunji sailed past Katherine Devlin, 6-0, 6-0, in No. 5 singles before Whited recorded the 6-2, 6-1 win over Alex Kramer in the sixth slot.
Gotkiewicz captured the win for the Blue Hens in No. 4 singles by defeating Paige Conrad, 6-1, 6-2.
In No. 2 singles, Courtney topped Isis Gill-Reid, 6-4, 6-0 for the final victory of the afternoon.
