Hens Drop 4-3 Heartbreaker to Hofstra on Senior Day

NEWARK, Del. – The Hens captured the team doubles point for the third straight match, but Hofstra came out on top with the 4-3 victory Saturday afternoon at the Delaware Field House Outdoor Courts.
The Blue Hens posted doubles wins in the second and third flights to open the day.
Luis Molina and Laurenz Lankes topped Ryan Hardin and Giacomo Pezzoli, 6-3, in the third flight before Blaise Casselbury and Nathan Benyowitz defeated Marcus Smith and Jan Leithner, 6-4, in the second slot.
In singles action, Justice Jones won his second consecutive match with the 6-3, 6-3 No. 5 decision over Julien Wolfe.
Molina captured his team-leading 19th victory of the season with a come-from-behind 5-7, 7-2, 6-0 win against Shawn Jackson.
Delaware honored seniors Blaise Casselbury and Asdrubal Marcano prior to the match.

"We came out strong in doubles today and our guys came out with good energy and passion. In singles we kept going back and forth and it was a typical conference battle.
