Blue Hen Swimmers and Divers Recognized for Academic Accomplishments

Both the men’s and women’s squads listed on the CSCAA Scholar All-America team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) has recognized both the Delaware men's and women's programs as part of its Scholar All-America team for the 2019 spring semester.

"Coach Marmolejo has created something special," said CSCAA executive director Greg Earhart. "Where student-athletes can chase big goals in and out of the pool."

The women's team put together a 3.41 for the spring, while the men posted a team GPA of 3.08. For the first time in the history of the CSCAA Scholar All-America list, over 100 men's institutions were recognized.

Two student-athletes on the women's side boasted perfect 4.0 GPAs for the spring in seniors Gabby Acker and Melissa Manuelli.

Junior Kevin Basch and freshman Ean Kiely led the way for the men, each posting 3.8 spring GPAs.

The Blue Hens also landed on the Scholar All-America team in the fall and both the men's and women's teams raised its GPAs in the spring semester.

Individual CSCAA Scholar All-Americans will be announced in the coming weeks.
