Delaware Men’s Golf Announces 2019 Fall Schedule

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's golf team will compete in five tournaments as the Blue Hens announced their 2019 fall schedule on Thursday.
Delaware, under the direction of head coach Patty Post, again kicks off the campaign on Sept. 1-2 at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate at Turning Stone (N.Y) Golf Course. The Blue Hens then head to the Golfweek Program Challenge at True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Sept. 8-10.
Delaware will compete in the Villanova Fall Invitational at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa. on Sept. 30-Oct. 1, before travelling to the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Course on Oct. 13-14. The fall campaign concludes at The Intercollegiate at Innisbrook at Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla. on Oct. 28-29.
Senior Jack Melville will lead the Blue Hens after averaging a team-best 71.73 shots per round last season, when he earned Team MVP honors and was the squad's top finisher four times. Sophomore Roberto Nieves, who set a UD freshman record with a 73.93 average round, also returns, along with classmate Matt Pulgini who averaged 74.25 shots per round, paced UD in four tournaments, and fired an eight under par at the Villanova Spring Invitational.
