Delaware Men’s Basketball Announces 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule; Season Tickets Now on Sale

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team will host four non-conference games and take on national power Villanova as the Blue Hens announced their non-league slate for the 2019-20 season on Wednesday.
Delaware, led by fourth-year head coach Martin Ingelsby, will kick off the season with four games as part of the Sunshine Slam tournament. The Blue Hens will open the year on Nov. 5 with a home game against Bridgewater, before playing three games in Kissimmee Fla. against Oakland, Southern Illinois and UTSA on Nov. 8-10.
UD will then travel to Easton, Pa. to battle Lafayette on Nov. 16, prior to a trip to Saint Francis (Pa.) on Nov. 19.
Following the road stretch the Blue Hens will play three home games in a six-day span, beginning with a tilt against Stony Brook on Nov. 27. Two days later Delaware welcomes Maryland Eastern Shore to the Bob Carpenter Center, before closing out the homestand vs. Columbia on Dec. 2.
Delaware will head south to battle Atlantic 10 opponent George Washington on Dec. 7, prior to the Never Forget Tribute Classic against Villanova at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Dec. 14. The Hens will close out their non-conference slate at LIU on Dec. 20. An additional game will be announced at a later date.
Delaware's 18-game Colonial Athletic Association schedule is expected to be announced at the end of August.
Season tickets are currently on sale, featuring savings of 28 percent over single game pricing. Blue Hens fans can purchase the same great chairback seating for all 13 games, and also will enjoy exclusive access to purchase tickets for neutral site games and the CAA Tournament. Other benefits include early access to special events and single game tickets, with payment plan options available.
