Blue Hens Add Crowe to Baseball Coaching Staff

The Wesley College Alumnus joins Sherman’s staff
NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware baseball program and 20th-year head coach Jim Sherman have announced the addition of Bill Crowe as the team's volunteer assistant coach heading into the 2020 campaign.

"We are really excited about the knowledge and energy Bill will bring to our staff this season," Sherman said. "He's a guy that understands the game and someone that appreciates what Delaware baseball is all about."
He will be in charge of catchers, work with hitters and put together opponent scouting reports. Crowe will also head up summer team showcases held at Delaware.Â

Crowe spent the last eight seasons with nearby Wilmington University where he worked closely with the outfielders and hitters. During his time with the Wildcats, the team claimed five CACC Championships, reached six NCAA regionals and appeared in the Division II College World Series.

A product of Newark, Delaware, Crowe graduated in 2011 from Wesley College with a legal studies. An all-state catcher at Salesianum High School, Crowe began his coaching career in the youth pipelines with the Delaware Sabres U12 team and currently owns and operates Next Level Athletics in Wilmington, Delaware.

Crowe resides in Wilmington with his wife Stephanie, daughter Brielle and son Cal.
The 2020 campaign gets underway with a three-game set at Florida Atlantic on Feb. 14 and the Blue Hens will host UMass Lowell for their home opener Feb. 28 at Bob Hannah Stadium.
