Black & Blue World Series Details Revealed

The fall split-squad series will take place over two days
NEWARK, Del. – The Delaware baseball program announced rosters and game times for the Black & Blue Fall World Series set to take begin Thursday at 3 p.m.

"We're excited to see these guys get after it after the disappointment in the spring and a long fall period of practice," said head coach Jim Sherman. "This group has worked extremely hard this fall and it'll be fun to see them get into some live action."

The first game features a marquee pitching matchup with senior Derek Wakeley getting the ball for the black squad and junior Chris Ludman will get the start for the blue team. Game two will begin Friday at 1 p.m. with junior Joey Sian pitching for the black team and freshman Reece Bolton countering him for the blue. Both of these contests will be seven innings.

If necessary, an abbreviated game three will follow Friday afternoon. The series is closed to the public.Â
