Goan’s Big Weekend Leads to CAA Player of the Week

The senior hit .538 with two homers and six RBIs for his first weekly honor
RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association announced Tuesday that senior Jack Goan is the conference's Player of the Week after going 7-for-13 with a pair of home runs and six RBIs over the weekend in North Carolina.
It is the first Player of the Week honor for the Cherry Hill, New Jersey native who slugged 1.077 over the weekend against Gardner-Webb and North Carolina A&T.
Goan recorded multi-hit games in each of the three contests, going 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs to open the weekend against the Runnin' Bulldogs. He has a hit in each game this season and 12 of the last 13 dating back to last season.
Goan made his 46th consecutive start for the Blue Hens in Sunday's contest, where he was 3-for-5 with a pair of runs.
Delaware will open its home slate Friday when it hosts UMass Lowell at 3 p.m. at Bob Hannah Stadium to begin a three-game series with the River Hawks.
