By The Numbers: Nicole Enabosi's Historic Game

Nicole Enabosi's performance against Towson this past Sunday was insane. In Delaware's 69-62 win over the reigning Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball champions, the graduate forward dropped 27 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals.
Let's break down the numbers behind what made this such a historic game:
1 – This is the only time this millennium that a Delaware player has recorded at least 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists in the same game. We can definitively say Enabosi is the only Blue Hen to achieve this stat line since at least 1996-97, and while game-by-game records aren't fully complete before that, it is incredibly likely that she's the only player in program history to accomplish the feat.
Even if we bring the criteria down to 5 assists instead of 8, there have only been three players to put up that stat line since 96-97:
Enabosi – 27/16/8 vs. Towson (Feb. 2, 2020), 27/16/5 vs. St. Peter's (Nov. 25, 2017)
Kelsey Buchanan – 27/15/5 vs. Hofstra (Jan. 5, 2014)
Elena Delle Donne – 41/15/5 vs. Hofstra (Jan. 26, 2012)
45 – Between her 27 points and the 18 points generated from her career-high eight assists, Enabosi was directly involved in 45 of Delaware's 69 points on Sunday (65.2%). Enabosi scored in a variety of ways, hitting midrange jumpers, using post moves to navigate around Towson's bigs, and drawing fouls to get to the line and knock down 9-of-12 free throws.
Her 27 points were a career high for a game that didn't go to overtime, and tied for her second-highest total behind a 32-point effort against Santa Clara in her first game back from injury this season.
Enabosi also showcased her passing and vision, assisting on a variety of plays. One moment she was kicking the ball out to Abby Gonzales for a three-pointer, the next she was finding a cutting Jasmine Dickey from the elbow for an open lay-up.
16 – Enabosi pulled down 16 rebounds Sunday, a huge part of Delaware's 48-39 rebounding advantage over the Tigers. Six of her 16 boards were offensive rebounds, of which the Blue Hens had 16 on Sunday (compared to Towson's 28 defensive rebounds, Delaware had an Offensive Rebounding Percentage of 36.4%, which is very good).
The Blue Hens used those boards to outscore Towson in second chance points (10-4) and points in the paint (32-26).
47 – While Enabosi barely missed the program's first-ever triple double, she did record her 47th career double-double, tied with Colleen McNamara (1991-95) for the most in school history.
3 – Enabosi became just the third player in Delaware history to eclipse both 1,500 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, both marks that she passed against Towson Sunday. The two other players to achieve this? McNamara, who she now shares the career double-doubles record with, and Elena Delle Donne, the 2019 WNBA MVP who just led the Washington Mystics to the WNBA championship.
