Blue Hen Baseball Alters Weekend Schedule

Friday's contest postponed

NEWARK, Del. – Due to weather, the Delaware baseball weekend series with Rider will be delayed a day as Friday afternoon's contest has been postponed creating a Saturday series opener at 1 p.m. followed by a doubleheader Sunday, beginning at noon at Bob Hannah Stadium.

Game one Sunday will feature seven innings with a nine-inning game scheduled to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The Blue Hens are coming off their first series win of the season, taking two games from UMass Lowell last weekend in thrilling fashion. However, Delaware will have to bounce back after dropping a pair of midweeks.

Junior Mike Biasiello is slated to start game one, followed by sophomore Joey Silan in the middle game and freshman Reece Bolton in the finale.
