Hens Tie School Record With 13th Straight Victory

WILMINGTON, Del. – It was lucky number thirteen for Delaware on Friday as the Hens topped La Salle, 7-0, at the Delcastle Tennis Center for its school-record-tying 13th consecutive win of the season.
UD last won 13 straight during the 1981-82 campaign. The Blue Hens finished that season with a 14-1 overall record.
Delaware opened play by sweeping the team doubles point for the third straight match.
Liam Hedlund led off singles action with his ninth consecutive win – the 10th overall of his career – in the fifth flight.
Guilherme Valdoleiros followed with triumph in No. 3 singles before Bryan Paliska clinched the match in No. 6 singles.
Luis Molina, James Wilkinson and Justice Jones also captured victories against the Explorers.
