Three Blue Hens Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Blue Hen women's golfers Isabella Rimton, Lene Sperling and Lexi Dart have been named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars for the 2019-20 season, the organization announced this week.
Rimton, who graduated from UD this spring, was a four-year member of the Blue Hens who appeared in 17 career tournaments. Rimton, who was also named a WGCA All-American Scholar in 2017-18, competed in four tournaments as a senior, ranking fifth on the team with an 80.58 average round.
Sperling participated in all seven invitationals during her freshman season, when she ranked fourth on the squad by averaging 77.86 shots per round. She tied for 12th place at the Golfweek Program Championship and earned the team's Sportsmanship Award.
Dart also had a successful freshman campaign for the Blue Hens, as she ranked third on the team with a 77.05 average round. She fired a five over par 221 at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic in early March.
Golfers must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 to earn the prestigious award.
