TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Delaware men's tennis team was recognized Monday as a 2020 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team while four Blue Hens earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
UD was named an All-Academic Team for just the fourth time in program history and first since the 2016-17 academic year while Milo Nagle, Bryan Paliska, Curran Verma and James Wilkinson were tabbed as ITA Scholar-Athletes for the first time in their careers.
In order to garner ITA All-Academic Team accolades, programs must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above accumulated from all varsity letter winners for the current academic year.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year.
"I am so proud of our guys for earning this accolade for our team and it is a testament to their hard work not only on the tennis court, but more importantly, in the classroom," stated Pablo Montana, who recently completed his fourth season as head coach of the Blue Hens. "I am thrilled to see their perseverance and discipline pay off. A special thanks goes out to our support staff and professors for helping them along the way."
