Blue Hens Announce 2021 Spring Volleyball Slate

A 12-match regular season on tap starting in February
NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware volleyball program and head coach Sara Matthews have announced the 2021 spring schedule Monday with the Blue Hens slated for 12 regular-season contests.

The Blue Hens will face four of its Colonial Athletic Association counterparts for a total of 10 matches, with an additional two matches against non-conference opponent Villanova.

The season gets underway Feb. 14 when the Blue Hens travel to James Madison before facing the Dukes again Feb. 19 in Newark. Next, Delaware will start a series with Villanova on the road Feb. 24 and hosting the Wildcats, March 2.

Defending CAA Champion Towson heads to the First State March 5 and the Blue Hens will travel to Towson March 7.

The next two CAA series will be played on back-to-back days with Delaware heading to Northeastern for a pair of matches March 13 and 14 before welcoming Hofstra March 19 and 20.

The regular season concludes with another home-and-home against Towson, playing the Tigers on the road March 26 and at home March 28.

The CAA tournament details will be revealed in the coming weeks, as well as information regarding spectators at home Delaware volleyball matches.
