Cross Country Ready For Delaware Invitational After 47th Annual Paul Short Run Race

BETHLEHEM,Pa. – University of Delaware cross country ran at Goodman Campus Cross Country Course Friday afternoon at the 47th Annual Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa.
The Blue Hens were paced by Julien Webster, who finished the 6K-course in 22:07.6 to capture 35th place among the field of 342 NCAA Division I, II and III competitors. Webster placed fourth among conference foes Ainsley Jacobs (Towson, fourth, 21:16.7), Jordyn McDonnell (Hofstra, 11th, 21:34.8) and Sophia Masciarelli (Hofstra, 26th, 21:57.8).
Anna Cleary was the next blue & gold runner to cross the line in 23:07.5 for 107th place. Marissa Dailey (142nd, 23:25.5) and Jessica Stratton (209th, 24:05.3) finished in 3-4 for Delaware.
Miami earned the team title with 70 points, while Dickinson followed in second with 167 points and Buffalo rounded out the top three with 173 points. Senior Red Devil Isabel Cardi claimed the individual title with a time of 20:54.7.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Blue Hens return to the First State to host the Delaware Invitational next Saturday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. from White Clay Creek State Park in Newark.
