Cross Country Meet Preview: Delaware Invitational

» Delaware returns to the First State on Saturday for its annual invitational after not being able to host during the abbreviated 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

» The last time the Blue Hens hosted the invitational was in 2019, where the team grabbed 12 of the top 20 spots to win the team title.

» The blue & gold was guided by a stellar performance from Jessica Stratton, who was the first Blue Hen to cross the 6K finish line in a time of 24:00.2, good enough for second-place overall. Stratton will be making her first appearance this season.

» Delaware will see 15 runners compete, including Deja Rodriquez-Santiago, Jessica Pidgeon, Samantha Side, Susanna Weir and Tina Capparell, who all were part of capturing the top 20 spots in the 2019 invitational.
