Nieves Finishes Third, Blue Hens Ninth at Georgetown Intercollegiate

BEALLSVILLE, Md. – Roberto Nieves finished third among individuals while Delaware placed ninth in the team standings at the Georgetown Intercollegiate.

Nieves, who fired rounds of 67 and 68 on Sunday, followed with a 72 during Monday's final round on the par 71, 7,102-yard Four Streams Golf Course to finish with a six under par 207. He has finished among the top four individuals during all four of UD's tournaments this fall.

Hugo Kedzlie tied for 24th place at the invitational with a four over par 73-71-73=217, while Michal Bargenda finished in 39th place with an eight over par 74-74-73=221.

Sparky Ariyachatvakin tied for 54th place with an 18 over par 76-77-78=231, while Owen Manchester fired a 19 over par 78-77-77=232 to finish in 58th place.

Jack Kaewrahan, playing as an individual, finished in 62nd place with a 24 over par 86-71-80=237.

Delaware placed ninth out of 12 teams with a three-round total of 875.

The Blue Hens conclude their 2021 fall season on Oct. 24-26 at the ODU/Outer Banks Intercollegiate in Powells Point, N.C.
