Women's Soccer Match Preview: College of Charleston

» Sunday is Senior Day! The Blue Hens will honor 10 seniors prior to the start of the match - Kate Henesey, Jaimie McInroy, Damali Simon-Ponte, Joan Scheidt, Zoe Smith, Anna Diffendal, Lauren Krinsky, Sara D'Appolonia, Lizzie Weimer, and Olivia Schuck.

» The 10th marks the final home Sunday matchup for the Blue Hens. UD will host the College of Charleston at 1 p.m. at Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium.

» Sunday's contest is the eighth all-time meeting between Delaware and the College of Charleston. Last time out in 2019, CofC defeated UD, 1-0. CofC has won the last five meetings against Delaware. CofC was picked to finish 10th in the CAA preseason polls, while Delaware was voted to finish tied for eighth.

» Looking for its first win in CAA play, CofC has three players that have scored three goals, including Delaney Dawes who leads the way with five points. Goalkeeper Meredith Holton has 52 saves this season.

» Sara D'Appolonia leads UD with eight points (3 goals, 2 assists). Diffendal is second with six points (2 goals, 2 assists).
Diffendal scored at the 4:14 mark against Northeastern. It was the fastest goal since D'Appolonia's 3:00 goal against Seton Hall in 2019. Goalkeeper Lauren Krinsky has made 36 saves on the season.

» Freshmen Caitlin St. Leger and Sydni Wright have both garnered starts this season with St. Leger starting all 12 matches and Wright nine. Mia Reed made her first career start at Elon.
