Adalsteinsson, Fernandez Earn All-CAA Men’s Soccer Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen junior defender Aron Adalsteinsson was named to the CAA Men's Soccer Third Team while freshman forward Carlos Fernandez was selected to the All-Rookie Team as the league announced its all-conference honors on Wednesday.
Adalsteinsson, who also earned third team all-league honors in the spring, appeared in 11 matches while making 10 starts this fall. He tallied one shot on the season against James Madison while anchoring the Blue Hen backfield.
Fernandez saw action in all 15 contests while making 12 starts, tying for the team lead with three goals, four assists and 10 points. He scored UD's goal in the 1-1 draw at American, and added a goal and an assist at UNCW. Fernandez also scored during the 3-1 victory at UMBC, before adding one assist against Hofstra and two at Northeastern.
