Women's Lacrosse: Career Networking Committee
11/12/2021
The Delaware women's lacrosse team has developed five committees in support of five different organizations the team feels passionate about. They have incredible leaders in the senior class and wanted to create areas for them to utilize their leadership qualities. The women's lacrosse program is heavily involved in giving back and supporting a variety of organizations any way possible. The Blue Hens want to spread awareness and leave a lasting impact on the community. Over the next few months, BlueHens.com will feature every committee and catch up with the organizers.
The next committee that will be highlighted is a Career Networking Committee and is run by seniors Mollie McCormack, Maddie Maio and Amelia Kienzle. We talked to McCormack, Maio and Kienzle to find out more about the committee and why it is important to them.
WHAT DOES THE Career Networking Committee DO?
The Career Networking Committee helps our teammates to start creating connections with former alum and people in the real world for potential job opportunities and career advice.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REPRESENT THE Career Networking Committee ?
It is such an honor to be a part of this committee and to know that we are having a direct impact in helping our teammates and future Blue Hens in the years to come.
WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE Career Networking Committee?
The goal of our committee is to provide ample opportunities for our teammates to feel prepared to enter the workforce following their time at the University of Delaware.
WHY IS THE Career Networking Committee IMPORTANT TO YOU?
Our committee is important to us because it helps to set our team up for success after we all graduate and start seeking out future career opportunities. Our committee will provide opportunities for networking, interview preparation, Q&As with alumni, and many more services that will give each player insight into their future professional careers.
