JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team's Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference Championship Game has been moved up two hours and will now start at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. Originally scheduled for 1 p.m., the start time was adjusted to avoid inclement weather expected in the area in the early afternoon.
The top-seeded Fightin' Blue Hens will take on second-seeded Jacksonville in the program's first conference championship appearance since 2009. Delaware went undefeated in ASUN play, winning the ASUN Regular Season Championship in its first season as a member of the conference. The Blue Hens defeated No. 4 Lindenwood 10-4 on Thursday afternoon in the semifinals, shutting out the Lions in the second half to extend their winning streak to 12-straight games.
Saturday's championship game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
