» Saturday will mark the 43rd all-time meeting between Delaware and William & Mary, and the first since the 2017 season when the Blue Hens shut out the Tribe 17-0 at Delaware Stadium. In all, Delaware is 24-18 against William & Mary and 14-6 in games played in Newark.

» In last Saturday's nonconference victory over Dixie State, quarterback Zach Gwynn finished 19-of-28 passing for 215 yards, while Thyrick Pitts led the receiving corps with four catches for 81 yards to become the 21st player in program history to reach 100 career receptions. Kedrick Whitehead led the defense with 10 tackles, while Johnny Buchanan added nine. Each added 0.5 TFL and Whitehead had one of Delaware's six pass breakups. Liam Trainer also had eight tackles and 1.5 TFL, while Chase McGowan had 2.0 sacks. As a whole, the defense held Dixie State to -4 rushing yards on the day.

» Against Dixie State, Dejoun Lee rushed for 100 yards, marking his fourth 100-yard game of the season. He totaled 118 all-purpose yards, giving him 4,058 for his career to become just the ninth player in Delaware history to reach that milestone. Lee ranks second in the CAA in both rushing (86.6 ypg) and all-purpose (122.4 ypg) this season.

» Sophomore punter Tyler Pastula was named the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in last Saturday's 17-10 win over Dixie State. Pastula averaged 43.3 yards on four punts, with three of his kicks pinning Dixie State inside its own 10-yard line to help the Blue Hens win the field position battle in a tight game. He had three second-half punts that averaged 45 yards, including a long of 51 yards. Overall, Pastula helped hold the Trailblazers to an average starting field position of their 19-yard line.

» William & Mary enters Saturday's contest with a 6-2 overall record and a 4-1 mark in CAA play. The Tribe is coming off a 31-18 road victory at then-No. 4 Villanova that vaulted them into the FCS polls, coming in at No. 20 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and No. 23 in the AFCA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

» The W&M offense is third in the CAA with an average of 25.4 points per game. The Tribe lead the league in rushing with 214.4 yards per game. The defense is allowing 20.9 points per game, ranking fourth in the CAA. Opponents are rushing for just 110.3 yards per game, while the W&M secondary is allowing 257.8 passing yards per game.
