Guilherme Valdoleiros Named CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - Delaware senior Guilherme Valdoleiros (Marco De Canaveses, Portugal) was named CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Valdoleiros earned the award after picking up wins in singles and doubles to help Delaware defeat CAA foe James Madison, 5-2. Competing at No. 5 singles, the senior clinched the match by rallying past William Karpinski, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (3). He and partner Justice Jones also recorded a 6-2 victory over Karpinski and Oscar Hernandez at No. 3 doubles to help the Blue Hens earn the doubles point.
Valdolerios and the other seniors will be honored during a Senior Day ceremony when the Blue Hens return to action on Saturday, April 17 against UPenn at the Delaware Field House courts.
