Four Blue Hens Earn Men’s Soccer All-CAA Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Four Blue Hens earned men's soccer All-CAA accolades as the league announced its all-conference honorees on Thursday.

Pedro Barbolla was named to the Second Team and All-Rookie Team, Aron Adalsteinsson and Renan Thomazo were Third Team selections, and Justin Ruth earned All-Rookie honors.

Barbolla appeared in all five games while making four stars in a Blue Hen backfield that posted three shutouts in five matches this spring. He attempted nine shots on the year, including four on goal. Adalsteinsson started the first three games of the season as a back, helping Delaware allow just two goals during that span.

Thomazo played all 509:55 minutes in the Blue Hen goal this spring, posting 23 saves and a 1.06 goals against average along with three shutouts. Ruth led Delaware with two goals, scoring twice in UD's 2-2 draw vs. Drexel.
