Three Blue Hens Earn All-CAA Honors

Baker, Carpenter and Dunion recognized by conference
RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association has announced the 2021 All-Conference baseball teams Tuesday with graduate student Kyle Baker, junior Joseph Carpenter and freshman Jake Dunion each earning recognition.

In his final season, Baker hit .370 to rank second in the conference and earn a Second-Team selection. He had nine doubles, a triple and two homeruns, scoring 31 runs and driving in 19 RBI. He makes his third appearance on a postseason All-CAA team.

Baker closed his career on a 15-game hitting streak and joined the 200 hits club, finishing with 220 in the Blue and Gold.

The 2019 CAA Rookie of the Year, Carpenter earned a Second-Team nod after hitting .260 with six doubles, a triple and five home runs. He scored 25 runs and drove home 16 RBI while holding a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

In his first year with Delaware, Dunion earned a Second-Team selection as a utility player and was named to the All-Rookie team. Dunion hit .397 with three doubles and three home runs. He became an every day starter towards the back half of the season, playing primarily second base. Â
