Blue Hens Slotted No. 5 in AFCA Coaches’ Poll

WACO, Texas – Delaware football has added to their preseason resume with a No. 5 placing in the AFCA FCS Coaches' Top 25 Poll that was released on Monday.
After a spring season that saw Delaware advance to the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs, the Blue Hens have racked up several preseason honors. In the Stats Perform and HERO Sports preseason polls, the Blue Hens were ranked No. 5 and No. 6, respectively. Delaware was voted to finish second in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) after winning the trophy in the spring.
Delaware kicks off the 2021 fall campaign on the road at Maine on Thursday, Sept. 2.
