Adalsteinsson Named Men’s Soccer Preseason All-CAA

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen defender Aron Adalsteinsson was named to the CAA Men's Soccer Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday.
Adalsteinsson was a third team All-CAA selection this spring, when he appeared in and started three games. Delaware allowed just two goals during the three matches in which he competed, including posting a pair of shutouts.
The Blue Hens, who finished 2-1-2 during the abbreviated 2021 spring season, were picked sixth in the CAA Preseason Poll. Defending champion James Madison was picked first, followed by UNCW, Hofstra, Drexel, William & Mary, Delaware, Elon, Northeastern and Charleston.
Delaware opens its season on Thursday, August 26 with a 7:30 p.m. game at Rutgers.
