RICHMOND, Va. – Sophomore Savannah Seemans of the Delaware volleyball team was named to the 2021 Preseason All-CAA Team on Wednesday afternoon.
"We are excited to see Savannah recognized with this honor," head coach Sara Matthews said. "It is a testament to all that she accomplished during her freshman year and we are eager to see her progression this season."
Seemans, a CAA All-Rookie Team selection this past spring, led the Blue Hens in kills (100) and finished second in kills per set (2.70) and digs per set (3.27). In 10 matches, the Newark, Del., native posted three double-doubles.
Delaware was picked to finish tied for sixth in the preseason poll, compiling 26 points. Towson collected the most points (63) to pair with a conference-best six first-place votes. James Madison (54) and Northeastern (48) rounded out the top-three.
The Blue Hens will open the season on Aug. 27 in Philadelphia as they take on the defending MAAC champions, Rider, at 2:30 p.m., before battling Temple at 7 p.m.
