» Thursday is the season opener for Delaware women's soccer versus George Mason, as the Blue Hens have a pair of consecutive home matches to get things started.

» Fifth-year Head Coach Mike Barroqueiro and the Blue Hens began their preseason training on Aug. 3 and have been hard at work to get ready for the fall after wrapping up a seven-game spring slate a few months ago.

» The Blue Hens have won their last two season openers dating back to the 2019 season. Delaware opened the 2021 spring season against George Mason. The Blue Hens won 2-0 on the road, as Kate Henesey scored the game-winner assisted by Lizzie Weimer to give the Blue Hens the victory
