Delaware Defeats George Mason, Saint Joseph’s Saturday at Joe Hunt Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The University of Delaware men's tennis team defeated George Mason and Saint Joseph's on Saturday during the second day of Navy's Joe Hunt Invitational.
The Blue Hens captured all eight singles matches against the Patriots, including wins by James Wilkinson (6-4, 6-1), Pascal Wagemaker (7-6, 6-3), Luis Molina (4-6, 7-5, 10-8), Guiherme Valdoleiros (6-1, 6-3), Pierce Gilheany (6-3, 4-6, 10-8), Liam Hedlund (7-5, 6-1), Alexandre Gluck (7-6(5), 6-4) and Nicholas Gore (6-3, 6-3).
Delaware also took five of six matches versus the Hawks, featuring wins by Wagemaker (6-3, ret.), Molina (7-5, 6-4), Valdoleiros (6-3, 6-3), Gilheany (6-0, 6-4) and Hedlund (6-1, 6-1). The Blue Hens earned a pair of victories over Navy as well, as Gluck (6-1, 6-1) and Gore (6-3, 6-1) defeated the Midshipmen.
Additionally, Delaware won all four of its doubles matches against George Mason: Wilkinson/Gilheany (6-4), Molina/Wagemaker (7-5), Hedlund/Gore (7-6(1)), and Gluck/Valdoleiros (6-3).
