Q: Hanna, have you always played on the same teams growing up?
A: We actually have an older sister, so I played a lot with both of them. Half and half. I was always playing with one of them.
Q: Julz, you guys come from a softball/baseball family. Was it in your blood to play softball or did you try out other sports when you were younger?
A: No. we’re both a very similar type of player. Quick and relatively strong arms. We like both like the space in the outfield to run to the ball and take more time to read the ball.
Q: Hanna, is it a coincidence that you both play in the outfield?
A: It was definitely in our blood to play softball. We were both hitting balls since we were old enough to pick up a bat. We both played basketball and field hockey. I was actually going to play field hockey in college and then I switched in the end.
Q: Julz, how much did your sister playing at UD influence your decision to come here too?
A: It influenced my decision a lot. Having that relationship with her, I got to know the girls on the time a lot earlier. I felt super comfortable committing here and even when I arrived I felt the inclusivity.
Q: Hanna, what’s the best thing about playing college softball with your sister?
A: I would say going through this point of our lives where we learn so much about ourselves with your sister who you’ve grown up with. I see her every day, multiple times a day. It’s so cool to experience all of this with her.
Q: Julz, what’s the best thing about playing college softball with your sister?
A: I would say the same thing. No one ever knows that we’re actually sisters. It’s cool having someone to reach out to if I ever need something or to just sit down and talk about any and everything. It’s nice to have someone that you grew up with that you can go to with anything.
We have more sibling fun for you with @Delaware_SB's @julz_garber and Hanna Garber.
