Mason Tabbed CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Junior outside hitter Lani Mason of the Delaware volleyball team was named the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Mason led the Blue Hens to three consecutive straight-set victories en route to being named the Delaware Invitational MVP. The Chester, Va., native averaged 3.89 kills per set and hit .311 while leading Delaware in kills in each of the three matches.
She additionally compiled nine service aces (1.00 per set), including a career-best six in a victory over Maryland Eastern Shore. The junior's top performance of the weekend came when she recorded 16 kills and hit at a .414 clip to go along with nine digs, two assists and a pair of blocks opposite Fordham.
Mason and the Blue Hens return to action on Thursday when they trek to Lawrence, Kan., to compete in the three-day Kansas Invitational. Delaware will open play against host Kansas on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET.Â
