Selling Named CAA Women's Swimmer Of The Week

NEWARK, Del. - Mira Selling has been named CAA Women's Swimmer of the Week after the Blue Hen's season-opening meet against UMBC and Johns Hopkins, as announced by the conference on Oct. 11, 2022.

Selling, a five-time CAA Champion and the 2022 CAA Championship Most Outstanding Performer, picked up right where she left off to begin her senior season. She placed first in three individual events and one relay to help Delaware open the season with wins over UMBC and Johns Hopkins. She recorded a time of 50.94 in the 100 free, 1:49.89 in the 200 free, and 4:49.64 in the 500 free. She was also part of the Blue Hens' first-place 400 freestyle relay team (3:28.86), and recorded a split of 51.16. All three freestyle times were the second-fastest in the CAA this season, as was the performance in the relay. This is Selling's fifth career Swimmer of the Week honor, having also been named on Feb. 24, 2021, Nov. 9, 2021, Nov. 16, 2021, and Feb. 8, 2022.

Selling and the Blue Hens return to action on Oct. 22, when they take on Yale in New Haven, Conn.
