Carr Selected to NFHCA Senior Team, Gaebel Selected as Alternative

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware midfielder Ashlyn Carr was selected to the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior Game and goalkeeper Lizzie Gaebel was selected as an alternative.
Carr was one of 38 student-athletes selected to compete in the senior game. Gaebel is one of 15 alternatives selected.
The 2022 senior game takes place on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. at the University of Connecticut.
"Well-deserved honors for Ashlyn and Lizzie for their selection as a participant and alternate respectively for the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior Game in conjunction with the NCAA Final Four. Ashlyn and Lizzie are team captains this season and have made numerous contributions and sacrifices to the team and program over their years as Blue Hens."
Carr has been one of the most impactful athletes for the Blue Hens on offense this season. She's appeared and started in 16 games, scored two goals and added eight assists, which is tied for second in the CAA.
Gaebel has started in all 17 games this season for the Blue Hens. She racked up 66 saves, including a career-high nine saves against UConn back on Sept. 9, and has a .595 save percentage.
