Seemans Lands On CSC Academic All-District Team

NEWARK, Del. –University of Delaware volleyball junior outside hitter Savannah Seemans was named to the 2022 Academic All-District Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday (Nov. 22). This recognizes the nation's top student-athlete for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom, with a GPA of 3.50 or higher. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Seemans, a product of Newark, Del., is currently majoring in civil engineering. She brings her stellar performance in the classroom on to the court where for the second-straight year she led the team in services aces with 38 total (0.35 sa/per set). Seemans ranked among the team second with 223 kills (2.05 k/per set) and 380 digs (3.49 dig/per set) in 109 sets played. She finished the year posting seven double-doubles (kills/digs) and registered double-digit digs in 21 contests, including scooping up a career-best 28 digs against Stony Brook (Oct. 16).
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.
