Dickey is the Blue Hens' first back-to-back CAA Player of the Year since Elena Delle Donne in 2012-13 and she has exceeded expectations in her fourth year in the Blue & Gold uniform. Dickey has led the nation in points per game for seven-straight weeks (Nov. 29-Jan. 10) and currently ranks third in the nation with 25.0 points per game. Heading into this week's conference tournament, she is also averaging 9.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 39.7 percent (243-of-612) from the field and 81.9 percent (167-of-204) from the free-throw line. Dickey has scored in double figures in 26 of her 27 appearances, including posting one 50-plus, one-40 plus and five 30-plus point game (three consecutive) performances. Her notable games this season include exploding for a career-high mark of 52 points and tying her career-high 18 rebounds (10 offensive) to set a new Bob Carpenter Center record (second in points scored in a single game) against Charleston (Feb.4); and pouring in a second career-best 48 points against Eastern Michigan (Nov. 26), which now moves that mark to third in the program history books in points scored in a single game. Both memorable performances has landed her a spot on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 plays. Dickey has a career-best 15 double-doubles on the season (longest streak: five games) and has been tabbed CAA Player of the Week four times and named United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week once. She leads the conference in scoring and ranks second in free throw percentage and minutes per game (36.1), third in rebounding, t-fourth in blocked shots and sixth in steals. Dickey ranks among the top 10 national leaders in field goal attempts (1st), points per game (3rd), free throws made (4th), final points (5th) and free throw attempts and field goals made (6th).The news that we have been waiting to hear, but actually already knew...#AOW #Elite pic.twitter.com/oifEK7fbQQ
