NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's tennis team cruised to a 4-0 victory on Tuesday afternoon in a nonconference match against Morgan State at the Delaware Tennis Courts. With the win, the Blue Hens improve to 16-5 on the season.

"We came after it today in doubles and I'm so excited for Tayo and Maria and how well they played and helped secure our doubles point," said Director of Tennis Pablo Montana. "In singles, we are continuing to play with confidence and we are trusting ourselves and our level is definitely improving with each match. We will continue to build from this and use this momentum as we prepare for Drexel on Friday."

The doubles team of Maria Constantinou and Tayo Adetunji got things off to a good start with a 6-0 clean sheet at the No. 3 position before the duo of Alina Vasilenko and Dominika Sujova clinched the point for UD with a 6-1 win at No. 1.

Delaware kept rolling into singles as Julieta Honrubia took down her opponent at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Sujova eased to a win at No. 3 by a 6-0, 6-2 score before Constantinou sealed the match with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at No. 5.

The Blue Hens will play their final home match of the season on Friday when they host Drexel for a CAA matchup. First serve is set for 11 a.m. Prior to the match, the program will recognize its four seniors in a Senior Day ceremony.
