Luis Molina Named CAA Player of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's tennis senior Luis Molina was selected as the CAA Player of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office. The award recognizes Molina's performances during the final two matches of UD's Spring Break trip.
Molina went 2-0 in singles and added a win in doubles as Delaware capped a 3-0 road swing with victories over CAA foe Charleston (6-1) and The Citadel (7-0). Playing at the No. 3 slot, the senior beat Charleston's Matias Gaedechens, 6-2, 6-3, to give the Blue Hens a commanding 3-1 advantage. He moved up to No. 2 against The Citadel and defeated Josiah Schainblatt, 6-2, 6-1. Molina and partner Liam Hedlund also picked up a 6-1 triumph at No. 2 doubles against the Bulldogs.
The Blue Hens will have the weekend off before making the short trip to Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, April 6 for a 2:30 p.m. match in Philadelphia.
