Chris Ludman Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Baseball Team

NEWARK, Del. – Blue Hen righthander Chris Ludman has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Baseball Team, the organization announced Thursday.
Ludman, who graduated from UD with a finance degree, is currently enrolled in graduate school in business administration. He recorded a 3.92 GPA as an undergrad and carries a 3.88 GPA as a grad student.
Ludman, the ace of the Blue Hen pitching staff, has gone 4-4 with a 4.04 ERA this season. He ranks fifth in the CAA with 69.0 innings pitched and tied for seventh with 58 strikeouts.
Ludman allowed just one unearned run in seven innings of work during wins over Rider and Towson, and gave up one earned run in seven-inning outings vs. Iona and Saint Peter's. He struck out nine batters against the Gaels and a career-high 14 vs. the Peacocks.
District 2 is made up of schools from Washington, D.C., Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Ludman advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, as first, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in June.
