Oihana Etxezarreta Named To All-CAA Women’s Golf Second Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen sophomore Oihana Etxezarreta has been named to the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Second Team as the league announced its all-conference honorees on Thursday.

Etxezarreta, who earned second team all-league accolades for the second consecutive year, appeared in all 11 tournaments this season and led the Blue Hens with a 75.13 average round.

Etxezarreta was Delaware's low finisher in five invitationals, and won the Kingsmill Intercollegiate title for the second year in a row. She also finished second at the season-opening Nittany Lion Invitational at seven under par, while her opening round 65 at the tournament tied the program's single round record.

Etxezarreta also tied for third place at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, and was twice named CAA Women's Golfer of the Week. She becomes the fourth player in program history to earn All-CAA honors in multiple years, along with Andi Slane, Ariane Klotz and Thitaree Sakulbunpanich.
