Stinson Named Delaware Athletics Deputy AD/Chief Operating Officer

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware Director of Athletics, Community, and Campus Recreation, Chrissi Rawak, has named Harry Stinson III as the Blue Hens newest Deputy Athletic Director of Internal Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
"We are excited to welcome Harry, Rasheda, and Laila to the Blue Hen family! Harry brings terrific experiences to Delaware that will absolutely help us continue to grow and get better every day," said Rawak. "What I appreciate most about Harry is how he develops relationships and invests in people. In his recent role at Lincoln, Harry had to work with many stakeholders across the campus along with his own team and he did this in a way that was inclusive and allowed everyone to be a part of the success." Â
Stinson comes to Newark after serving as the Director of Athletics and Recreational Services at Lincoln University. During his five-year tenure at Lincoln, Stinson was responsible for:Â

Stinson arrived at Lincoln in July of 2017 with more than 12 years of experience as a professional administrator in collegiate athletics with expertise in university relations, strategic planning, capital projects, external relations, development, compliance, event management, sport administration, finance, and business operations.Â
Stinson served as associate director of athletics at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, where he ran the day-to-day operations of the athletic department. He was directly responsible for the development and management of the athletic department's operating budget and scholarship budget. In this role, Harry also oversaw compliance, was a sport administrator for nine sports and managed game day operations. Prior to Central State, Stinson served as the interim athletic director at Kentucky State University. In addition to his responsibilities as interim athletic director, Stinson also handled external operations, compliance, athletic training, and sports information and sport administrator for 13 sports. He also served as the head men's golf coach.Â
Prior to his arrival at KSU in December 2009, Stinson served as the director of championships, communications, and marketing at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for nearly five years. He also served as interim commissioner during 2008-09. Stinson began his athletic career as a coach at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida, coaching track and field, basketball, and football. He also worked in Basketball Operations at the Amateur Athletic Union, as a League Administrator at the World Boxing League, and as director of Operations at the Georgia World Games Sports Commission.
Stinson is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and was a track and field student-athlete at Florida State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in human sciences in 2002 and a master's degree in sport administration from Georgia State University in 2005. He also holds a professional certification in athlete development from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. Stinson is a graduate of several NCAA programs including the NCAA Pathways Program (2012) and the NCAA Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females (2009).
Stinson is a member of several NCAA committees including serving as the Vice Chair of the NCAA DII Management Council, Vice Chair of the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interest Committee, NCAA Constitution Committee, DII Transformation Committee, NCAA Board of Directors Ad-hoc Committee on Sports Wagering, chairman of the NCAA Division II Committee on Infractions, serving on the NCAA Eligibility Center Advisory Board, and the NCAA Golf Regional Advisory Committee. Stinson also is a member of many professional organizations including the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, National Association for Athletic Compliance Division II Committee, and Minority Opportunities Athletic Association where he served on the Board of Directors from 2013-2017.
Stinson is married to Rasheda, and has one daughter, Laila.

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the athletic budget and the fiscal operations of the department's operating and scholarship budget.Â
- Launching Lincoln Athletics 1st Annual Campaign & Revamping the Booster Club
- The rebranding of the institution with new colors, updated athletics logo and marks, and creating a university tagline
- Developing the Athletic Department Strategic Plan, Athletic Department Policy & Procedure Manual, and Gameday Operations & Management ManualsÂ
- Creating and Executing Professional Development plans for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Student-Athletes
- Overseeing renovation projects including Men's and Women's Basketball locker rooms, the resurfacing of the track and field complex & outdoor basketball courts, resurfacing of the main gym and auxiliary gym surfaces, and complete renovation of the athletic facility including administrative and coaches offices, locker rooms, training areas and athletic indoor practice areas for all teams.
