NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's golf team will compete in five tournaments this fall as the Blue Hens announced their 2022 fall schedule on Wednesday.
Delaware opens its season at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawleys Island, S.C. on Sept. 11-13, before heading to the Badger Invitational in Madison, Wis. the following week on Sept. 18-20. That tournament will serve as a homecoming for Blue Hen head coach Patty Post, who is a 1999 graduate of Wisconsin.
UD again heads west to compete in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Edwards, Colo. on Sept. 26-28, and returns to the state on Oct. 7-9 to participate in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch, Colo. on Oct. 7-9.
Once again Delaware closes its fall slate by hosting the Lady Blue Hen Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club on Oct. 15-16.
The Blue Hens return their entire roster from last year's team that finished second at the CAA Championship and set a program record by averaging 76.38 shots per round. Oihana Etxezarreta, a second team All-CAA selection who won the Kingsmill Intercollegiate title, led the squad with a 75.13 average round. Alisa Khokhlova ranked second on UD with a 75.52 average round, while Christina Carroll was third with a 76.00 stroke average.
